Biography Collins is a Marketing Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK). He is also the Director of the Oxford International Education Group College Partnership in the Business School. He is the deputy programme leader of BA (Hons) Marketing Management and BA (Hons) Marketing with Digital Media (Hong Kong), delivered in collaboration with SCOPE, City University of Hong Kong, having worked as the programme leader for several years. He is the Faculty Academic Lead for Undergraduate International Students Articulation. He is experienced doctoral supervisor and examiner. He has led several modules at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include Emerging Markets, Marketing and Building High Performing Organisations, International Marketing and Global Marketing. He has also been involved in delivering modules such as Marketing 1 (Principles of Marketing), and Brand Management. He has extensive experience as an External Examiner and as a periodic programme review panel member at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Collins completed his PhD at Edinburgh Napier University in 2014. The title of his PhD is “UK foreign direct investment in Ghana: determinants and implications”. The thesis empirically investigated the relative significance of the determinants of UK foreign direct investment in Ghana. He also graduated with an MBA in Marketing from the University of Leicester, and with a BA (Hons) from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. His key research interests include branding, international marketing, international business, social enterprise, social marketing, marketing ethics and sustainability. He has presented papers at national and international conferences and seminars, and he has publications in books and refereed journals.
