Biography I am a full-time Lecturer in Psychology, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and a member of their Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Occupational Psychology divisions.

I am an active researcher investigating various aspects of developmental dyslexia. My primary research is looking into the investigation of early indicators of developmental dyslexia, particularly in pre-reading children, in order indicate risk and provide those at risk with early interventions. I look at a range of cognitive, language, phonological and motor tasks and their predictive potential. I have also investigated visual aspects of dyslexia by looking at low- and high-level visual processes using psychophysics. Recently, I have extended my research into the role of primary school teachers in dyslexia risk identification drawing on the area of decision making. Also, I am interested in implications of neurodiversity in job recruitment.

I teach on modules that are related to my research interests: Organisational Psychology, Educational Psychology and Child Development. I am passionate about teaching research methods and currently contribute to the third-year module on quantitative and qualitative methods.
