Biography	I am the External Projects Manager, managing the team of External Project Officers, who deal with all post award administration for research and commercial activities, within the University. We ensure that all claims are submitted to funders and invoices issued, in a timely manner and we provide guidance to project leads, based on funders T&Cs, e.g. what costs are allowed, what changes can be made etc. We can also provide spend reports, so that you can keep up to date with how much budget is remaining, to ensure that your project fully achieves the desired outcomes. I have been working in higher education since 1994, having held various Finance roles, then in 2010, I became a Project Officer and was responsible for providing post award support, I then transferred to RIO in January 2015, where part of my role involved the implementation of the research management system, as well as providing support to project leads, I then became the External Projects Manager, when Research, Innovation and Enterprise was formed in January 2020.
