Project Title	Living in Transition: Delayed discharge from a patient and polict perspective
Project Description	An ethnographic style study exploring the patient experience of living in a long stay hospital awaiting transfer to a care home (observer-participant method). The policy behind the delayed discharge agenda was investigated using semi structured interviews with people from the Scottish Government (Scottish Executive at the time of writing), hospital managers, service managers, ward managers, bed allocation managers and staff working on the wards and in the care home where the study took place.
