Biography I qualified as a nurse from Queen Margaret University in 1999 then completed my midwifery degree in 2003 at Edinburgh Napier University. I have worked as a midwife at St John’s Hospital since qualification and now have the pleasure of working at Edinburgh Napier University as a Midwifery Lecturer. I completed my MSc in Advanced Practice with Applied Education in 2012.
Research Interests My Masters dissertation considered antenatal education and the educational role of community midwives. An interesting topic which highlighted issues for undergraduate midwifery training and challenges experienced in practice.
Teaching and Learning I am extremely passionate about my teaching and learning role for midwifery and allied health professionals programmes. I have recently achieved my Senior Fellow with the Higher Education Academy and I am fully committed to ensuring that students have an exciting and positive learning experience at Edinburgh Napier University.
