Biography | I qualified as a nurse from Queen Margaret University in 1999 then completed my midwifery degree in 2003 at Edinburgh Napier University. I have worked as a midwife at St John’s Hospital since qualification and now have the pleasure of working at Edinburgh Napier University as a Midwifery Lecturer. I completed my MSc in Advanced Practice with Applied Education in 2012. |
Research Interests | My Masters dissertation considered antenatal education and the educational role of community midwives. An interesting topic which highlighted issues for undergraduate midwifery training and challenges experienced in practice. |
Teaching and Learning | I am extremely passionate about my teaching and learning role for midwifery and allied health professionals programmes. I have recently achieved my Senior Fellow with the Higher Education Academy and I am fully committed to ensuring that students have an exciting and positive learning experience at Edinburgh Napier University. |
