Dr Konstantinos Kaliarntas

Biography	Konstantinos Joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2013 as a Lecturer in Biomechanics. Konstantinos’ research and teaching interests are in human movement, clinical and sport biomechanics, rehabilitation, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, physical activity and exercise and research methods and statistics. Konstantinos is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and he teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in the school of Applied Sciences. He is also currently the programme leader for the Physical Activity and Health undergraduate programme. Konstantinos graduated from the Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Athens with a BSc in physiotherapy (2003). Subsequently, after participation in national exams (2005), he was awarded a scholarship for postgraduate studies from the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). He then completed an MSc in Rehabilitation at the University of Nottingham (2006) and a PhD in Bioengineering at the University of Strathclyde (2011). Konstantinos also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Strathclyde (2010 – 2013) where he was involved in large funded and collaborative research projects such as the SWIFTCAST and Envisage projects (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-21266301). He was also co-investigator in large collaborative research grants such as the WATER project (Chief Scientist Office; 2015-2017, £304,602; PI: Dr Psycharakis, Co-Is: Dr Coleman and Ms Lindon) Konstantinos is an HCPC registered (reg no: PH86265) and also a Chartered Physiotherapist (CSP).
