BBC TV Interview with Kirsty Wark about Franki Raffles Archive project

Description Alistair Scott interviewed by Kirsty Wark about his re-discovery of a body of creative practice feminist documentary photographic work and establishing the Franki Raffles Archive Research project. As a result Raffles was included as one of the ‘Women who changed modern Scotland’ for the BBC/Open University programme Episode 2 March 2023 and available on the BBC i-Player.

Screening of 'Leithers' (60 mins) Channel 4

Description My Channel 4 documentary film 'Leithers' was shown at a public screening on 2 Feb 2020 to mark the centenary of the amalgamation of Leith and Edinburgh in 1920. The talk was a public engagement opportunity to outline my research on the representation of Scottish communities on screen.

Observing Women at Work: Franki Raffles

Description Delivered a paper (together with curator, Jenny Brownrigg, Glasgow School of Art) at the Fast Forward Women, Lithuanian edition international conference at the National Art Museum, Vilnius, 4 November 2017, outlining the research that led to the Reid Gallery retrospective exhibition of the work of feminist documentary photographer, Franki Raffles (1955-94).
