Abstract

Lipid lowering is of paramount importance in the prevention of recurrent cardiovascular events. Our original CHOICE (Choice of Health Options In prevention of Cardiovascular Events) trial demonstrated significant benefit in lowering total cholesterol (TC) after acute coronary syndrome (ACS) which persisted at four years. In an ongoing multicentre replication trial we compared baseline TC and statin use between the two trials.
