Abstract

This paper presents a novel framework for enhancing decision-making in healthcare leadership by synthesizing Hegelian inferentialism with contemporary quantitative methodologies, particularly Bayesian analysis and epistemic justice metrics. By embedding the dialectical structures of Hegelian philosophy within a probabilistic framework, this study introduces a comprehensive model that captures the dynamic, iterative nature of decision-making in complex healthcare environments. The integration of inferentialist philosophy with Bayesian inference allows for a recursive updating of leadership strategies based on evolving evidence, balancing the logical rigor of decision-making with empirical adaptability. Key innovations include the development of the Decision Quality Index (DQI) and the Epistemic Justice Quotient (EJQ), which provide sophisticated, quantitative tools for evaluating leadership efficacy, ethical integrity, and epistemic inclusivity. These indices operationalize the dialectical progression of knowledge, enabling a multivariate analysis of leadership decisions that transcends traditional evidence-based practices by incorporating patient narratives and experiential knowledge into the decision-making process. We argue that the fusion of philosophical doctrines with probabilistic models creates a robust and ethically responsive leadership architecture, capable of adapting to the non-linear, multifaceted challenges of contemporary healthcare.
