Abstract
Le Corbusier's Chapel of Notre-Dame du Haut, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most significant buildings of the 20th century. Invited to present my work in the space, a privilege granted few, this research focused on a new composition, titled for Notre-Dame du Haut. The music responds to the materiality, light, and design of the space, fulfilling the architect's unrealised goal of bringing the chapel “to perfection", through the inclusion of music. The uniqueness of my approach, multiple performances across one day, replicates the art gallery experience, allowing the audience to control their auditory experience as they explore the chapel while listening.
