Abstract
The aim of this project is to determine an optimum design and setup for a solar kiln. Throughout this project the overall design of the container will be addressed along with smaller internal setups that can be made. For the overall design optimising the capture of solar energy will provide the best results for improving drying times. Other changed that will be simulated are baffle placement, fan placement, fan angle, ventilation placement and volumetric flow. All these changed were simulated in Solidworks Flow Simulator.
