Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) is used everywhere in daily life from speech recognition on our phones, targeted marketing strategies & face recognition without the majority of society even realising it. The power of technology and availability of data has exploded in recent years with new and exciting technological advancements being developed every single day. This chapter aims to highlight and critically evaluate the practical and ethical challenges brought about by the advancement of AI and ML as well as identifying any research gaps and suggesting areas where further exploration is required.
