Abstract
The electric vehicles (EVs) sales in Scotland increased by 97% in 2020, but Scotland still lags behinds when compared to other locations in the UK. One of the reasons for the slow rollout is limited charging infrastructure to power the EVs especially in rural area. As of April 2021, there are only 2531 charging stations installed around Scotland. This talk discusses some work that could help to address the key issue in EV and charging stations. The success of these projects will promote uptake of EVs and enables creations of new EVs in the automotive market which aligns with the Scottish Government’s National Outcome related to Environment and Economy.
