Abstract

Modern computational packages are able to perform highly complex manipulations of symbolic variables, thus offering insights into a variety of mathematical problems. The symbolic manipulation packages REDUCE and MATLAB Symbolic Toolbox are used in an investigation into controllability with respect to torque inputs of a double inverted pendulum
