Abstract
Michael Harris plays the organ of St Peter's Church, Wandersleben, Germany. This disc, issued by Priory Records, PRCD 1001, explores repertory from the early years of Bach’s life and music of composers from his cultural hinterland. Recorded in Germany with funds from the Carnegie Trust, on an organ from 1724, whose builder J.S.Bach knew. It was the first complete CD recording of the instrument, with the repertoire contemporary to and geographically related to the instrument.
