An innovative design tool for optimisation of timber structures.
Menendez, Jesus
Authors
Abstract
The purpose of this research project is to provide structural engineers with a user-friendly tool for the design of timber structures. This application also facilitates real-time structural optimisation by updating the latest research findings on innovative products and design methodologies. The final aim is not only to improve the use of timber in construction but also to increase the value of home-grown timber.
