Biography With 20+ years’ experience as a leader in education and creative industries, Pauline has led significant strategic developments, restructures and capital projects, and has worked with a range of teams in arts and education to develop new initiatives and challenge existing thinking.

Pauline began her career in the arts, working with theatre and dance companies across the UK, with strengths in developing fundraising and sustainability strategies, as well as project management. She moved into events management before joining Queen Margaret University. Pauline then moved to Edinburgh Napier University as Head of the School of Arts and Creative Industries, eventually becoming Dean of School. In 2019 Pauline stepped away from the role to concentrate on teaching, coaching and facilitation activities.

An enduring learner, Pauline believes in fostering innovation and enterprise through developing potential in others. She is a qualified Team Coach having studied the Team Academy (Tiimiakatemia®) model with Akatemia, and completed her DBA in 2019. Pauline is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), and an associate of the NCEE Entrepreneurial Leaders.
Research Interests Pauline has recently completed her DBA and has research interests in
identity in higher education, and heutagogic approaches to education. Pauline is also interested in entrepreneurial education and leadership.
Teaching and Learning Pauline teaches entrepreneurial approaches and leadership skills to creative arts students.
