People with neurodiversity or a neurodisability are overly represented in policing interactions. Yet, knowledge to support meaningful and positive impacts on criminal justice systems to support people with neurodiversity/neurodisability are sparse.
In this webinar, Dr Inga Heyman and Dr Natasha Spassiani will explore this emerging area of research. They will consider the interrelated and unmet health and social care needs of people with neurodiversities/neurodisabilities with a focus on those coming to the attention of the police. They are interested in how to effectively identify and navigate justice settings and what the key intervention points should be.
