Abstract
This seminar and workshop will provide an overview of Public Engagement (PE) with research in the Business School. It will introduce the University’s Public Engagement Funding Competition (2023-2024); and provide an overview of the funding criteria and process. It will explore forms of engagement, different publics, and explore how effective and meaningful PE can raise the profile and impact of research. This will be followed by a showcase of TBS colleagues’ PE initiatives that have been funded in previous years along with a discussion of the value of PE towards creating impactful and meaningful research and outputs. This seminar and workshop will be hosted by Louise Todd (Public Engagement Lead for TBS) with PE showcase contributions from Richard Whitecross, Lynn Minnaert, Kathryn Rezai, Jane Wilkinson, Sybille Ratz and Mabel Victoria.
