Abstract
This short film brings together case studies from three different projects and craft communities.
Following a joint event with Creative Informatics in early 2020 led to the convening of The Closing the Loop group of makers by Applied Arts Scotland to bring together craft practitioners interested in circular economy models. This craft community was subsequently brought together with grantees of the Road to COP26 (2021) and In Our Hands (2022) Innovation programme funded by the British Council Nepal (funded by an RSE grant in 2021) to explore common practices and problems around circular economy craft businesses. This short film thus brings together three distinct projects by entrepreneurs working in and with craft communities in Scotland and Nepal who use craft practices, techniques and material knowledge to bring climate solutions in product design, modelled on a circular economy.
