Abstract
The lav, the loo, little boy’s or little girl’ room, bogger, crapper, pissoir, dunny or water closet - whatever you want to call it, it’s not the place that first comes to mind when you think of high end poetry. However, phrases like ‘For a good time call ……’ do have cultural significance. What is behind the writing on the wall? And are you a lavatorial philosopher?
This was an interview by Andrea Gibbs of ABC radio Australia on 22nd May 2022. I was interviewed by the host about my research on Latrinalia/Toilet Graffiti.
