Managing the Stiff Hand: Dual Orthosis Innovation
Harte, Daniel; Porter-Armstrong, Alison
Abstract
When patients present with stiffness throughout the hand, wrist, and forearm, therapists must decide how to simultaneously treat multiple structures. This author describes combining a dynamic supination orthosis (splint) with a dynamic composite finger flexion orthosis to address stiffness throughout the entire hand.
