Abstract
This book provides the student with comprehensive coverage of both networks and system architecture. It aims to introduce the most widely used networking protocols and distributed systems, covering recent developments in distributed processing and the WWW, the use of Internet and Intranets, and the integration of networking into operating systems. The book will be supported by a website offering downloadable Java source code, on-line testing for students, and project-related WWW work.
