Edinburgh Napier University has 50 year history of working with regional employers to develop programmes of study which produce appropriately skilled and qualified graduates. Recently, through the nationally funded Graduate Employability Project several initiatives have been implemented which increase students’ experience of industry and provide employers with significant influence over the content and skills base of new and existing programme of study. This paper discussed these initiatives in depth and goes unto critique their achievements when applied to different subject disciplines.
