Abstract
This paper provides an overview of an existing gesture recognition system from both research and clinical perspectives. Developing a gestural input system needs not only a gesture recognizer but also the identification of appropriate clinical conditions under which gestural input would provide improved computer access. Implications for the development of gestural input systems in the future are discussed.
