Universities join forces to accelerate health technology innovation

Summary A first-of-its-kind research collaboration between Edinburgh Napier University and Heriot-Watt University is bringing together engineering and nursing students to develop cutting-edge health technologies tailored to addressing real clinical needs.

The Edinburgh-based institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) formalising a joint programme which will see Heriot-Watt engineering students visit Edinburgh Napier’s specialised clinical simulation facilities to gain first-hand understanding of real healthcare scenarios and challenges.

Nurse Innovator Awarded Fulbright to Develop International Program with University in Scotland

Summary Professor Karen K. Giuliano, co-director of the Elaine Marieb Center for Nursing and Engineering Innovation, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program Award in Nursing and Public Health Care for the 2023-24 academic year.
