Biography | Mohamed is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) with the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET), and the UK Engineering Council. He holds a B.Eng. (Honors) Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of North London and MSc Degree in Transport Planning and Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University. Mohamed has extensive (national & international) work experience in Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Mobility Management. He previously worked at public sector agencies and private sector consultants including Transport for London, Hyder Consulting, GHD Global and Department of Transport-Abu Dhabi, where he led projects that included: · Strategic Transport Planning, · Sustainable Transport Feasibility Studies, · Public Transport planning, · Transportation Master-plans, · ITS (incl. Traffic Signal Design, Bus priority, Smart Applications, Bus lane enforcement etc.), · Congestion Alleviation and Road Safety programmes, · Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), · TDM/Mobility Management · Walking & Cycling and · Transport Policy Mohamed is currently undertaking a PhD research programme at the Transport Research Institute (TRI) in Edinburgh Napier University, on a part-time basis.
