Biography Dr Dubem Ikediashi is a Lecturer in the School of Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment (SCEBE) at Merchiston Campus of Edinburgh Napier University where he teaches a number of modules bothering on key themes in renewable energy finance, risk management, construction financial management, contract management and construction law. Prior to joining Edinburgh Napier University, he was an associate professor of construction management and Head of Department, Building (comprising Building Surveying, Building Services, and Construction Management) at the University of Uyo, Uyo, Nigeria and editor-in-chief of the Department’s flagship journal, Journal of Contemporary Research in the Built Environment.

He had his PhD in Construction Project Management from Heriot Watt University Edinburgh. Before then, he had graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Building from University of Jos, Nigeria, followed by a Master of Science Degree in Construction Management from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria. He is a corporate member of Nigeria Institute of Building (NIOB) and Chartered Builder, Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON), member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

His research interest is situated in key themes of pedagogy sustainability, net zero and digital innovations in facilities management and construction project management. He has published widely with over 50 articles in very high impact journals and conference proceedings and has been a member of research and scientific review committee of several international conferences. He is also a reviewer to several highly rated journals. He has successfully supervised and mentored several PhD students and is currently a PhD external examiner to several universities.

He is currently involved in several funded research projects bothering on digital technologies, net zero , pedagogy in facilities management and construction project management.
