Lecturer in Psychology

Post Nominals BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD, FHEA, CPsychol.
Biography I am a Lecturer in Psychology within the School of Applied Sciences, with additional roles as Disability Contact and Academic Conduct Officer for Psychology. I also have part-time roles as Lecturer in Clinical Psychology (Teaching and Scholarship) at the University of Stirling, where I teach on the MSc in Psychological Therapies in Primary Care, and as Honorary Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology in NHS Lothian.

My research to date has primarily focused on applied visual perception and attention, and how they may be affected by developmental and age-related disorders such as dyslexia, ADHD, and glaucoma. More recently, I have become interested in the role of attention in common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, and the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural interventions in their treatment.
