@techreport { , title = {Sustainable Community Assets: Business planning for the (re)development of community buildings}, abstract = {This publication is the result of the ideas, experience and knowledge of a range of people. It is informed by a workshop held at the University of Portsmouth in spring 2009 and the results of the Rapid Parish Development Programme run by the local Anglican Diocese. A range of informants/projects have contributed valuable lessons. In particular, many thanks to the lecturers that led the workshop (Victoria Edwards, Jim Kempton, Bernard Webster, Stephen Pitchforth) and the participants, many of whom came to surprising conclusions about their development idea. Janet De Bathe, Nick Ralph, Simon Frost and other local social entrepreneurs provided invaluable insights. The images used in this report were produced as part of an intern programme of design work for local community buildings and many thanks to Hugh, Jon, Khalid, Mark, Matt, Rosie, Samir, Steven and Verity for their hard work. The chance to be an observer or facilitator of work with local communities, parishioners and community-based organisations in Hampshire and beyond has been an interesting process providing ideas and inspiration. This publication is funded by the South East Coastal Communities Project being implemented locally with the collaboration of the Cultural and Creative Industries Faculty, the Department of Architecture and the School of Environmental Design and Management, along with the Portsmouth Business School.}, publicationstatus = {Published}, url = {http://researchrepository.napier.ac.uk/Output/2972431}, year = {2024}, author = {Moobela, Cletus and Rampton, Leigh} }
